Frequently Asked Questions

  • Welcome! We’re so excited to meet you soon. Most people start with the New Member Special: solseekyoga.com/new

This offer is built specifically for new Sol Seekers and gives you the opportunity to explore all of our classes and locations and get to know the community!

You can either sign up online or visit us in the studio 20 minutes before your first class to get set up. :)

  • Welcome! Every single person who has done yoga has started as a beginner :). Whether you're super bendy or can't touch your toes, spiritual or atheist, or if you believe you’re too much of one thing or too little of another thing - yoga is for everyone.

Most beginners start with a New Member Special (solseekyoga.com/new) and take “Roots” and “Gentle Flow” classes first which are specifically designed for beginners.

From there, you can adventure to Flow 1-2.

We encourage you to explore our class descriptions page (solseekyoga.com/class-descriptions) and see what feels right for you! If you have any questions, we’re always happy to help.

  • Just a few things :)

    • Please refrain from wearing strong perfumes, cologne, or deodorant in the studio.

    • Before class starts, fully turn off your cell phone rather than putting it on vibrate.

    • Please put your shoes on when you go to the restroom. The restroom in the Sun Room is not available to use during class.

    • Arrive 15 minutes early to get checked in and settled. We close the door at the start time and any late students will need to wait til the opening meditation is finished to join class.

    • While in class, please don’t speak to your neighbors or answer any texts or phone calls.

    • Stay for savasana! Savasana is a special time for a lot of students, so please don't leave the room during savasana. If you must leave early, please leave during the “cool down” portion of class before students start settling into savasana.

  • We specialize in creative flow/vinyasa-style yoga classes, but we're dedicated to offering a diversity of classes that meet students right where they are. Whether you’re needing a relaxing Restore class or a sweaty Burn class, we got you.

Check out a full list of our class descriptions here.

  • Here are our policies :) solseekyoga.com/covid

  • For virtual classes, you must sign up for class at least 10 minutes before the start time; otherwise, you won’t receive the Zoom link.

For in-studio and outdoor classes - we highly recommend that you sign up in advance! Our in-studio classes may fill up, so reserve your spot early.

  • Please try your best to arrive at least 15 minutes before class starts!

The first 5 minutes of class are incredibly important for opening meditation and setting the intention of the space. If you arrive late, we’ll ask you to please wait patiently in the lobby until about 6 minutes into class.

  • The sweat number is a good indicator of how sweaty you will get, but not necessarily how much skill is required to move through the flow. The higher the sweat number, the more intense the workout and the faster the pace.

Higher level classes, on the other hand, are recommended for those with some experience in balances, inversions, and flexibility, whereas lower level classes are ideal for those looking to learn the basics.

Check out our full list of class descriptions here.

  • Yourself - as you are - messiness and all!

And also probably some basic yoga things like a mat (or you can rent one from us for $5), water, a small towel if you’re going to a sweaty class, and props if you’d like to use your own.

For outdoor classes, we recommend bringing a large towel to place under your yoga mat to keep it clean and wearing layers since the weather can shift relatively quickly. We don’t offer mat rentals or props at outdoor classes!

  • In-Studio:

We offer mat rentals for $5 and we don’t offer towels. We have brand new props (blocks, straps, blankets, and weights) that you’re more than welcome to use!

    Outdoors:

Please bring your own everything! We don't offer mats, towels, or props at outdoor classes.

  • At least 15 minutes early to get checked in, lay down your mat, and hang out!

  • We offer free filtered water (we use a Berkey) and hot tea.

We also sell yummy drinks and food, like kombucha, elixirs, superfood seed bars, and more.

  • We can’t wait to welcome your buddy to class! Buddy passes are valid once per person for brand new students only.

Check out the instructions for buddy passes here: solseekyoga.com/buddy

  • All autopay memberships have a 3-month minimum commitment!

After your 3-month commitment period, memberships must be canceled at least 7 days before your next billing date following the instructions here: solseekyoga.com/cancel :)

  • Our capacity for in-studio classes is very limited and sometimes sell out. If you need to a cancel class, please do so ASAP following the instructions here: solseekyoga.com/cancel-class

Late cancels within 2 hours and no-shows may result in a fee.

  • We don’t offer refunds or exchanges.

  • We’re happy to extend class packs for medical reasons.

For all other reasons, we can roll over your expired classes to a new class pack! For example, if you have 2 classes left on a 10 class pack, you can purchase a new pack and we’ll tack on your old 2 classes; giving you now 12 classes to use in 4 months.

To roll over expired classes, send us a message!

  • Our minimum age is 12 years old. Kids 12 - 13 must attend with a parent or legal guardian. 14 - 17-year-olds may take class alone with explicit consent from their parent.

  • We love dogs, but we don’t offer pet sitting! So while you’re welcome to bring your dog in on a leash to grab a treat or get a sip of water, we do not allow dogs to hang out in the lobby without their owner or take class with their owner (unless they’re an ADA service dog).
