Santa Barbara yoga teacher, Myah

Myah Mashhadialireza

She/Her

Bio: I grew up as a dancer, so movement has always been ingrained in my lifestyle. When I began to practice yoga, I learned how transformative movement can be when you bring intention to your breath. Upon completing my 200 hour teacher training with Rachel Wilkins in 2021, I aspired to share this connection and love for movement with others.

In my classes, we laugh, we sigh, we make weird shapes, and we do everything in community. Being mindful is about more than just quieting the mind; it is about learning to observe yourself in a non-judgmental and compassionate way.

As a teacher, I teach from my anahata (heart) so my classes emphasize keeping an open heart when approaching your yoga practice. I create a space where you can step out of your day and step into your body.
