Meet Your Yoga Retreat Leaders

  • Hello, I'm Justin, a dedicated yoga instructor with over 10 years of teaching experience. After encountering severe anxiety, I discovered yoga 23 years ago, and it became my sanctuary. My journey led me to become an E-RYT 500 certified teacher, having completed my initial 200 and 300-hour trainings with Three Sisters Yoga in NYC. I also hold a 200-hour certification as a Katonah Yoga teacher and have delved deeper with over 2400 advanced training hours in diverse modalities like yin yoga, restorative yoga, traditional Chinese medicine, and yoga for spinal health.

My classes reflect my belief that yoga is a powerful tool for cultivating joy. Combining playfulness with soulfulness, I create an environment that fosters personal exploration and insights.

In addition to practicing yoga for over 19 years, Justin is also the proud owner of Sol Seek.

  • Yoga found me in 2016 during a time I felt broken, physically and mentally. Coming off my second knee surgery and struggling to find my breath in collegiate-level sport, I dove head first into the gift of this practice. I completed my RYT 200 in 2018 and since then have completed trainings in yin & restorative yoga with Justin Randolph. In September 2023 I will have completed my Master’s degree from Antioch University in becoming a licensed psychotherapist with a focus in somatic experiencing and healing trauma, which you will find gentle threads of through my classes.

I truly believe this practice is a gift, one that has the power to bring us back home to ourselves, open our hearts further to others, and contribute to helping make our world a better place for all. My hope in each class together we find as a community ways to be kinder to ourselves, reflect in an honest way where we have space to grow, and connect as we move through this raw human experience together.

Land Acknowledgement + Giving Back:

We would like to acknowledge that our yoga retreat takes place on the ancestral lands of the Chumash Nation in Santa Barbara, California. We honor and respect the indigenous people, their elders past and present, and the enduring presence of the Chumash in this region.

As part of our commitment to community engagement and giving back, we are dedicated to supporting the Chumash National Marine Sanctuary. In alignment with this, we have planned an afternoon of community service to contribute to the well-being of the environment and show our appreciation for the Chumash culture.
