✔️ OG Santa Barbara Location
✔️ 2 Spaces (Sun Room + Moon Room)
✔️ Small to large class size

  • Our Santa Barbara location sits in the heart of Downtown in the historic El Paseo distric. Our studio vibe is inspired by the gorgeous sunsets of Santa Barbara - a community we're proud to call home!

Our 2 studio spaces, the Sun Room and Moon Room, are a reflection of our connection with nature and welcoming attitude. We curated this space to be a warm, inclusive, serene environment for you to de-stress and connect with your self. We hope you’ll think of it as a home away from home!

Our Studio Locations

✔️ OG Manhattan Beach Location
✔️ Ocean View
✔️ Small to medium class size

  • The O.G. Manhattan Beach studio! This downtown MB location has been a staple in town for over twenty years. Located just a few steps from the beach, yogis enjoy a breathtaking ocean view and the soothing sounds of waves as they move through their asana practice. This is the only full ocean view studio in Los Angeles!

With this location, there’s no need to decide whether to take in the sunset or enjoy a yoga class, you can do both from comfort of your mat.

✔️ Our only heated studio space
✔️ Access to showers + locker room
✔️ Medium to large Class Size

  • Get ready to sweat! Located just steps from the sand, this studio is heated between 90-110 degrees. The heat allows yogis to reach new levels of mindfulness in their practice, while detoxing their bodies.

Worried about germs? We’ve got you covered. Our studio is equipped with the newest, top-of-the-line HEPA air-filtration system which kills 99.9% of germs, bacteria, viruses, and pathogens so you can sweat in peace.

What to expect at your first visit:

What to bring: Yoga mat (or rent one for $5!), water bottle, and an open mind!

1.

Check in with a staff member at the front desk and mention that it’s your first time! They’ll sign you in and give you a tour.

2.

When entering the practice space, please take off your shoes and leave them with your other belongings (yes, including your phone) in cubbies or a locker.

3.

Grab props from the back of the room and set up your mat. Please be conscious and make room for others.

Not sure which props to grab? Ask your teacher!

4.

After class, grab a scented towel to freshen up. Enjoy how good it feels to take time for movement and self-care. You’ve earned it!

  • Arrive 15 minutes early to get checked in and settled. We close the door at class start time and any late students will need to wait til the opening meditation is finished to join class.

    • Please note that you are considered late at 2 minutes before class start time, which means we may give your spot to someone on the waitlist!

  • Please refrain from wearing strong deodorant, perfumes, or cologne in the studio.

  • Help us keep the studio tidy by storing your personal belongings in the cubbies at the back of the studio space.

  • Before class starts, fully turn off your cell phone or put it on do not disturb rather than putting it on vibrate.

  • Please put your shoes on when you go to the restroom. At our Santa Barbara location, the restroom in the Sun Room is not available to use during class.

  • During class, please don’t speak to your neighbors or answer any texts or phone calls.

  • Stay for savasana! Savasana is a special time for a lot of students, so please don't leave the room during savasana. If you must leave early, please leave during the “cool down” portion of class before students start settling into savasana.

FAQs

  • Welcome! Every single person who has done yoga has started as a beginner :). Whether you're super bendy or can't touch your toes, spiritual or atheist, or if you believe you’re too much of one thing or too little of another thing - yoga is for everyone.

Most beginners start with the New Member Special (solseekyoga.com/new) and take “Roots” and “Gentle Flow” classes first which are specifically designed for beginners.

From there, you can adventure to Flow 1-2.

We encourage you to explore our class descriptions page (solseekyoga.com/class-descriptions) and see what feels right for you! If you have any questions, we’re always happy to help. Send us a message!

  • YES! At Sol Seek, we offer a wide range of classes, many of which are suitable for everyone regardless of experience, fitness level, and yes, even flexibility. Our highly qualified instructors have been trained to offer modifications for most injuries.

As always, please seek medical clearance before beginning any new physical fitness activity. Always talk to the instructor before class and alert them to any concerns you have. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions or if you need a recommendation on where to start.

  • We specialize in creative flow/vinyasa-style yoga classes, but we're dedicated to offering a diversity of classes that meet students right where they are. Whether you’re needing a relaxing Restore class or a sweaty Burn class, we got you.

Check out a full list of our class descriptions here.

  • Our studio in El Porto is primarily a hot yoga studio. Warm classes will range between 85-95 degrees and our sweatiest classes will be between 100-110 degrees.

Hot yoga is challenging mentally and physically, yet the health benefits are clear and the sweat feels so good. Hot rooms allow the muscles to warm up much faster, which is great for increasing flexibility (for slower classes) and also means a shorter warm up and longer workout. But most importantly, hot yoga pushes you into practicing the the philosophy of yoga: unifying mind, body, and spirit through breath.

All classes at our Downtown Manhattan Beach and Santa Barbara locations are unheated.

  • For virtual classes, you must sign up for class at least 10 minutes before the start time; otherwise, you won’t receive the Zoom link.

For in-studio and outdoor classes - we highly recommend that you sign up in advance! Our in-studio classes may fill up, so reserve your spot early.

  • Please try your best to arrive at least 15 minutes before class starts!

The first 5 minutes of class are incredibly important for opening meditation and setting the intention of the space. If you arrive late, we’ll ask you to please wait patiently in the lobby until about 6 minutes into class.

  • In-Studio:

We offer mat rentals for $5 and we don’t offer towels. We have brand new props (blocks, straps, blankets, and weights) that you’re more than welcome to use!

    Outdoors:

Please bring your own everything! We don't offer mats, towels, or props at outdoor classes.

  • Check out our parking tips here! solseekyoga.com/parking

  • Life happens! All cancellations that happen at least 2 hours before class time are free of charge. Classes cancelled within 2 hours and no-shows will result in a $10 fee.

Thank you for cancelling on time so we can free up spots for other Sol Seekers who wish to join!

For instructions on cancelling class, watch the video tutorial in the “Tutorials + How-To Videos” section on this page.

  • We’re stoked to offer showers and lockers at our El Porto studio!

Our downtown Manhattan Beach and Santa Barbara locations don’t have showers, but we offer scented towels after every class so you can freshen up before you go about your day. :)
