Riding the Waves: Taking On Life's Highs and Lows With Yoga

Life, like the ocean, comes in waves! Sometimes we're riding high, catching a sweet wave of success and joy. Other times we eat sh*t, submerging in the depths of uncertainty. Wherever we are in our journey, the yoga practice offers us a sturdy surfboard to navigate the waters with grace and resilience.

We like to say our studio name, Sol Seek, is a quadruple entendre:

☀️ SOL like the sun - the light we can always count on.
✨ Phonetically “soul” - the core of who we are.
🙌 SOL is an acronym for stoked on life!
😜 But also an acronym for sh*t out of luck - because sometimes life is like that.

Those last 2 points are strongly connected to our theme for February "When the rubber meets the road,”  It’s all about how we continue to show up for ourselves when the sparkly newness of a new year is gone. The same can be said for how we show up when roadblocks enter the scene - perhaps we catch an illness and get thrown off our routine, we have to pull extra hours at work, or need to travel for a family emergency.

Life doesn't get easier or more forgiving, we get stronger and more resilient. --Steve Maraboli
